psdtuts.com has always had some of the best PhotoShop tutorials IMO but this The Ultimate Wood Texture Tutorial really blew my mind as far as just how real the effect came out and with Kyle Pero's easy to follow steps it was quite easy as well

Here is what the final result looks like completely created in PS

It's been years since I've visited this site mostly because I was frustrated with how slow it was and grew tired of playing the waiting game.

I see it's gotten a little better so I think I'll give it a shot again.

Family is doing well and my daughter will be 3 next month. I'll be adding a couple of new photos soon.

Autumn's first birthday party

The birthday party went really well considering we had 22 screaming toddlers and 40+ people

My wife doesn’t know the meaning of a “small” party

We had it at the YMCA preschool so the kids could have some room to run around and so our house didn’t get destroyed

Sorry I didn’t get more photos, I mostly focused on video to create the next DVD for all the family. They didn’t turn out that great and I was too busy filming to get a shot of her with the cake.

Her 1 year checkup at the doctor went well also

She is now 32 1/2" long and 25 lbs
